He graduated with a Bachelor of exercise science from the University of Western Sydney in 2013 and is currently completing a Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra, combing applied coaching coaching with sport science and clinical training. Since opening in 2020, Athlete Origin has trained over 300+ junior athletes, with more than 80 progressing to National and State selection, 55+ to Academy Programs, and 8 to senior professional contracts. Lincoln Blissett is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and strength and conditioning coach with over 10 years’ experience in junior sports development and five years in clinical rehabilitation practice across youth and ageing populations. He holds a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation and is currently completing a Master of Strength and Conditioning at Edith Cowan University, combining clinical training with applied strength and conditioning across rehabilitation and performance.
Currently a Youth Development Coach and Accredited Exercise Physiologist at Athlete Origin, Lincoln specialises in guiding field and court-sport athletes through every stage of return to play, from initial rehabilitation to full competitive performance: rebuilding physical capacity, restoring confidence, developing decision-making under fatigue, and re-establishing overall athletic capability. He is also Dry Needling Level 2 qualified. His clinical background across both youth and ageing populations gives him rare depth of long-term movement context, applying the same principles of durability, load management, and progressive capacity-building whether an athlete is at the start of their career or maintaining decades of active life. His coaching philosophy is that a strong coach-athlete relationship is the vehicle that drives development, allowing an athlete to give and receive honest feedback, understand why they’re doing what they’re doing, and gradually take on more responsibility for their own training.
Lincoln’s playing background spans Touch, Rugby League, and Middle Distance Running, bringing both team-sport and endurance perspectives to his work with developing athletes.
